Lore Olympus: Volume Four by Rachel Smythe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Letβs welcome Persephone back to the narrative!
I admit: While I adore the additional stories that weave through the primary tale, Iβd grown detached from Hades and Persephone. Much like her character, she had faded too much from what I expected her to be for me to form a real attachment to her. I saw her the same way as others in the comic: weak, too cute for her own good, and irritating. I was reading simply because the gossip was too good to look away.
But this volume!
She hit her wall, started to take back her place in the pantheon, and I LOVED it! (The ironic twist of Ares returning was not lost on me) It returned vitality to the story that I was sorely lacking.
And now I am counting the days until volume five hits the shelves!
